The next company IBM will buy is…

Day.com .

Why?

- IBM has just acquired Filenet. Filenet missed a content repository implementing the content repository for java technology ( JSR 170 and 283 ). Thinking you could have one just Enterprise Content Management in a large enterprise is very often a dream. Many differents solutions exist for DMS, local application repository, CMS, etc… So creating a ” document access bus” with a solution like Day can help you leverage all that value even if you do not have one and unique choice.

- Day.com is a great technology. They’ve contributed to the open source world ( Jackrabbit content repository), killing the entry level market.

- Day is a 15 MUSD company, this is not that much.

- M&A season has started :-)

The next company Google will buy is…

Riya.

Why?

Just look at the new service they just launched after the Riya Personal Search I’ve already blogged about.

My god. This is Web 3.0. :-) . As soon as they enable photo upload to find ” this great watch I have shooted in the street on a bimbo”, this will be one of the killer app changing e-commerce for years.

Guys, 2006 is more exciting than the bubble time.

Denis

PS: The acquisition by Google is a bet, not an information. No need to digg/slashdot this info :-)
