I will hold two presentations in Paris next Wednesday. One will be on Enterprise 2.0 and the other on Enterprise Search. Feel free to join, the access is free if registered. Novell today announced the acquisition of SiteScape. Sitescape, started as an ASP a few years ago, reconverted as an Open Source Software vendor. The good news is that their solution, ICEcore team collaboration, is pretty cool. It can help Novell increase the value of Suse. And it enables me a new bet. IBM will acquire Novell. The timing is good. Market capitalization of Novell is around 2 Billions, with good cash. Novell was dying, it is now catching up. Of course Novell can pursue its open source in a time where many open source IPOs and M&A are coming. But since the timing is also good for IBM (IBM would catch the Suse wave) , I bet IBM & Novell CEO can find a deal. Comments?
