Google enters the browser (OS) war with Google Chrome

I’ve been almost right on that one. Google will launch tomorrow its browser, named Chrome. Early beta, as usual, but we all know that what Google calls a beta is something like a release 5 in some other IT regions.

Yes. After years of rumors, the browser (and the GoogleOS) will be there.

A comic has been released early stage by Google to some bloggers. It explains very well the concept and what Chrome will bring to user experience.

Of course Chrome will integrate Gears (off line mode), Gtalk, Google Docs and others Google wanna-kill-MS services. And since Google knows, they leveraged open source project (like the great Apple Webkit and the world famous Firefox), and they will give back many thing in open source. With Chrome, Google is sending a message: we are heading to a full OS offer. Trust me. Fun is ahead.

Google Chrome is a lot more than a next generation browser; it’s a prototype Cloud Operating Environment.

Maybe it’s placebo, but ever since installing Chrome my computer has been acting a little weird…

@Andrew: I know, Google could be Evil. Yes, many un-understood requests @ Chrome launch…. but I just can not convince myself that a company releasing a software in open source tries to hide things. Tries to dominate, sure. No more than that :-)
